James Ritchhart, General Manager of BAI Distributors, Inc., is retiring effective March 5. Ritchhart has served in his current capacity for 34 years, dating back to May of 1987. Prior to joining BAI Distributors, Ritchhart worked for several South Florida AV-contracting firms for more than 13 years.
In his position at BAI Distributors, Ritchhart oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company, which included inventory management, procurement, dealer and vendor relations, marketing, events coordination, sales and employee relations, as well as numerous other responsibilities.
After joining BAI Distributors, Ritchhart was fully responsible for the start-up of the company, establishing new vendor relations and finding and building the dealer base. The latter included making on-the-road sales calls. It also entailed establishing relations with new manufacturers’ representative companies across the US and working in each of those territories to grow BAI Distributors business. In this way, Ritchhart played an instrumental role in growing BAI from a new company to the entity it is today.
BAI Distributors is an International Wholesale to the Trade Audio Visual distributor supporting the AV requirements of that industry. BAI distributes for more than 180 manufacturers in the AV Industry to systems integrators in all 50 US states, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
