Pete Putman, CTS, is the president of ROAM Consulting L.L.C., which provides training, marketing communications and product testing/development services to manufacturers, dealers and end-users of displays, display interfaces and related products. He has an MS degree in Television and Film, is a Senior Academy Instructor for InfoComm and was named InfoComm’s Educator of the Year for 2008. Pete is a member of The Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE) and Society for Information Display (SID). Pete authors the monthly column, “AVent Horizon.”

Jim Stokes

Jim Stokes has worked in all aspects of AV media since 1960, on both the business and production sides. He has designed and built recording studios as well as a heart/lung electronic diagnostic amplifier for listening to heartbeats and respiration, used for patient education in hospitals. In addition to being an AV technician for two Minnesota community colleges, Jim was recognized by the American Lung Association with two first-place national public relations awards for radio spots he produced about respiratory health.

As a Principal Consultant for The Sextant Group, he works with clients such as architects and owners to create sophisticated technology implementations. Bocchiaro was also VP of Standards and Industry Innovations for InfoComm International. He holds degrees in Electro-Optical Engineering, Film Studies, Media Studies and Educational Technology, and has contributed to Sound & Communications for more than 20 years.
