NSCA Announces In-Person 2021 Pivot To Profit (P2P)

NSCA has announced that its 2021 Pivot to Profit (P2P) will be held in person from September 21 to 22 at Atlanta Airport Marriott in Atlanta GA. P2P will bring together 200-plus professionals from communications/AV and security/life-safety integration firms across the US and Canada. They will learn about new technology-delivery methods and emerging technologies that will have the most impact in the future.

Driving Business Transformation

Because NSCA has seen many instances of integration companies struggling to make the switch to a subscription- or services-based model, P2P kicks off with a crucial discussion: “The Leadership Challenge: Driving Business Transformation,” led by BICSI’s CEO, John Daniels, and PSA/USAV’s CEO, Matt Barnette. “Beyond the warranty period” is where many NSCA members end client relationships. That leaves money on the table and hands over a potential client to the competition. With project gross profits hovering around 30 percent and services gross profits close to 60 percent, integrators might be wondering what they can do differently. Daniels and Barnette will share their answers.

Daniels is set to challenge integrators to keep raising the bar by embracing emerging technologies in compliance with new digital and IT regulations. From there, Barnette will dive into successful recurring monthly revenue (RMR) and business-model-transformation strategies that security and life-safety integrators use.

Discussion Topics

Other Pivot to Profit discussion topics will include the following: “New Opportunities with Today’s Technologies,” “Financial Leadership: Navigating Post-Pandemic,” “Legal Guidance: Prevailing Wage, Subcontractors, Cybersecurity & More,” “RMR: As-a-Service, Managed Services & Strategies,” “Networked Solutions that Differentiate and Drive Revenue,” “Integrators’ Evolving Role in School Security,” “Becoming Relevant to the ‘Digital-First’ Buyer,” “Business Model Optimization” and “Insights from the Experts: Moving Business Forward.”

Attendees are invited to participate in the NSCA Team-Building/Charity Activity on September 20 from 6pm to 8pm. Sponsored by alliantgroup, NSCA members will team up with youth from Atlanta’s YMCA to work together on fun and exciting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)-related activities to educate the next generation of integrators. To participate, contact NSCA’s Event and Content Manager, Emma Oldenburg, at eoldenburg@nsca.org or call 319.861.8638.

NSCA members can register for the two-day event for $295; non-members may attend for $495. For more information, contact NSCA at 800.446.6722 or visit www.nsca.org/p2p.
