XTA Electronics’ MX36 Console Switching System

XTA Electronics’ MX36 DSP Enabled Console Switching System has been designed to offer a solution to the challenge of routing multiple mixing consoles’ outputs to a speaker system or system processor. Ideal for the festival market, the 2U unit can accommodate 36 inputs across analog, AES and Dante networks, arranged in sets of 4 to support left, right, front-fill and sub feeds from an individual console. All switching takes place in the digital domain with soft crossfades primarily to switch up to 3 consoles, each with up to 3 levels of redundancy. If redundancy is not required, the MX36 can handle up to 9 consoles, accommodating 3 each on analog, AES and Dante. The MX36 also features a mono mic preamp for announcements and a stereo line input—both with clarity filtering—as well as headphone monitoring of every individual line with PFL metering.
