The 2022 NAMM Show Postponed To June Amid Continuing COVID-19 Crisis

This move is further evidence that the COVID-19 crisis is not over.

The 2022 NAMM Show, which had been scheduled for January 20 to 22, 2022, has been postponed. Now, the NAMM Show will take place from June 3 to 5, 2022. Although it is usually a four-day event, this year’s edition will be only three days. According to NAMM, the new dates will offer global industry members the opportunity to reconnect and renew their businesses. Moreover, it will allow them to take greater advantage of reimagined indoor and outdoor events, activations, professional-development sessions and more.

In lieu of the usual NAMM Show festivities in January, NAMM will host a one-day Believe in Music event.  Set for Friday, January 21, the livestreamed event will be an online global gathering. Its purpose will be to unify and support the people who bring music to the world.

In related news, will be no 2022 Summer NAMM. That event usually emanates from Music City Center in Nashville TN. However, with the NAMM Show moving to June this year, the association has effectively combined the events for 2022.

The 2022 NAMM Show is relevant to AV professionals due to the increasing popularity of pro-level equipment in the ACC North Hall. Additional details about the NAMM Show and Believe in Music day will be released soon.

It is widely expected that the NAMM Show will return to its usual January timeframe in 2023.
