NAMM Cancels In-Person NAMM Show, Replaces With ‘Believe In Music’ Initiative

NAMM, NAMM Show, Believe in Music

As COVID-19 pandemic continues, NAMM seeks to protect members’ health and safety.

In light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and putting the health and safety of its members first, NAMM has decided to cancel the 2021 NAMM Show, which had been scheduled for January 21 through 24 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim CA. In its place, “Believe in Music,” which will be held over the week of January 18, will feature a mix of comprehensive programming and professional education at www.believeinmusic.tv, as well as an interactive marketplace to connect buyers and sellers. Although not the NAMM Show or a virtual trade show, the initiative will meet the immediate business needs of NAMM member companies through thought-leader-led education for all segments of the industry, networking and artificial intelligence (AI) matchmaking, and business-to-business-focused opportunities to reaffirm and grow business connections, launch products, share brand initiatives and engage with customers in real time.

The NAMM Show is increasingly relevant for commercial AV professionals, including integrators, particularly since the creation of ACC North, the hall in which commercial AV companies exhibit. Moreover, in recent years, NAMM week has offered AES Academy at the NAMM Show, a four-day international symposium.
