Meyer Sound Laboratories, Inc. has established Meyer Sound Asia as a new entity to guide marketing and technical support operations throughout the region. Headquartered in Singapore, Meyer Sound Asia will coordinate efforts with national distributors across a broad region extending from Australia and New Zealand through Southeast Asia and beyond.
“We have seen tremendous growth in this region over the past few years, and we’re committed to building that momentum into the future,” Meyer Sound Senior VP of Marketing, John McMahon, said. “We are expanding our company presence with a full team dedicated to business development, design services and after-sale technical support specifically for Asia and Oceania. The best solution was to establish Meyer Sound Asia with an office in Singapore, a hub city with quick access to all countries in the region.”
Heading the technical team in Singapore is Technical Sales Support Specialist, Andrew Poh, who brings to Meyer Sound experience in system design and integration from prior positions with a global acoustical consulting firm and a major audio manufacturer. Also based in Singapore is Salmah El Haissane, Marketing & PR Coordinator for Asia. Additional technical support and administrative personnel will be added to Meyer Sound’s Singapore team in the coming months.
As another component of expanding operations in Asia, Meyer Sound has announced new or extended partnerships.
- EV Group of Hanoi has been appointed Meyer Sound distributor for Vietnam.
- The Coda Group Pte Ltd, longtime Meyer Sound distributor for Singapore, now also will assume distributorship for Malaysia.
- Bangkok-based Numthip Associates Co., Ltd has been appointed the new Meyer Sound pro markets distributor for Thailand.
- Two new distributors have been named for the residential home cinema market: Deco 2000 of Bangkok for Thailand and PT.Karta Jaya Elektrindo for Indonesia.
