L-Acoustics and JH Audio are partnering on a premium in-ear monitor (IEM) that will mark L-Acoustics’ entry into this market segment.
The partnership is the result of a collaboration between Jerry Harvey, Founder of JH Audio, and Dr. Christian Heil, Founder of L-Acoustics. Harvey is known for developing the first custom dual-balanced armature in-ear monitor. Meanwhile, Heil has brought technological innovations to the live sound industry for decades.
The research and development teams at both companies have worked together to reproduce L-Acoustics’ sonic signature frequency contour in a 10-driver in-ear monitor (IEM) dubbed the Contour XO.
“I’ve been trying to make my in-ears sound like an L-Acoustics PA for years,” Heil said. “It wasn’t until their team challenged us that we got as close as we could.”
