IMCCA Wraps Collaboration Week New York

The IMCCA has wrapped this year’s Collaboration Week New York event, taking place from February 23-26. This year’s installment saw industry professionals and end users attending sessions at BlackRock, Poly, Google, Gateway (a subsidiary of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce) and Planar. They also joined the industry in honoring Crestron’s CEO Randy Klein and Zoom’s Founder and CEO Eric Yuan during the Emerging Technology Fellow awards at a gala dinner on February 25. Klein was presented with an Emerging Technology Fellow – Lifetime Achievement Award, and Yuan was recognized with an Emerging Technology Fellow – Industry Impact Award.

Many of the sessions and panel discussions that occurred throughout the week featured end users from companies like Citi, American Express, BlackRock, Ford Foundation, Disney and Bessemer Trust. Topics covered included the battle lines between various providers, team-chat platforms, interoperability, security, the importance and expansion of AI driven metrics, the new look of office plans, the new Millennial and Gen Z workers, and more.

Among the sponsors and organizations that participated in Collaboration Week New York this year were Intel, Crestron, Pexip, Poly, Shure, Vyopta, Yorktel, Zoom, Mersive, Planar, Barco, Aver, AVISPL, Compunetix, EPOS/ Senheiser, LegrandAV, Omnivex, QSC, SynergySky, Shen Milsom & Wilke, and more.

“Our Collaboration Week events are an important industry initiative that offers the opportunity for organizations and other interested parties to learn more about our industry and how the technology is being used to craft intelligent and cost-efficient UC and collaborative solutions,” Carol Zelkin, Executive Director, IMCCA, said. “We were honored to facilitate important and educational discussions and dialog amongst industry participants at this—our third Collaboration Week event—and we’re looking forward to continuing and expanding these local events to other regions.”
