JBL’s LCT 81C/T ceiling tile loudspeaker lays into a 2’x2′ US-style suspended grid ceiling without the need to cut ceiling tiles. The LCT 81C/T delivers high output and intelligibility. It utilizes an 8″ dual-cone driver with 1″ voice coil to provide high-quality sound in an easy-to-install design. The low-profile depth of 4″ allows the LCT 81C/T to be installed into shallow-depth ceiling locations where other ceiling loudspeakers don’t fit, such as in older buildings with low ceiling decks or in spaces where the above-ceiling areas might be obstructed by pipes or ducts. A built-in 10W transformer allows the LCT 81C/T to be used on 70V or 100V distributed speaker lines; alternatively, the speaker can be driven directly by a low-impedance power amplifier (at up to 20W continuous average pink noise; 40W program power).
