Alpha Kilo Partners (Dallas TX) has acquired a controlling interest in Sound-Craft Systems (SCS, Morrilton AR). Alpha Kilo Partners is led by Ed Love and is owned by Love and his immediate family. His father, Earle Love, owned SCS from the late ’70s through the early ’90s. Ed has electrical engineering degrees from Vanderbilt University and the University of Virginia, as well as an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He formerly owned Technical Support Systems in Memphis TN and has worked for GE Appliances, ServiceMaster, 24 Hour Fitness and Capital One, along with several smaller startups. He plans to remain in Dallas and commute to the Sound-Craft facilities, as well as spend a lot of time in the field visiting dealers. The Loves will be at InfoComm, at Sound-Craft’s Booth 2443.
Sound-Craft Systems has been manufacturing lecterns, portable sound systems and presentation furniture for more than 60 years. Working in a variety of materials, including hardwoods, wood veneers, plastic laminates and carpets, the company builds a variety of standard and custom products.
